Voluminous Original Mascara Waterproof Brown

I get a terrible reaction when I use this mascara. It makes my eyes very red and they water constantly.

I do not like this new formula. I have been using this mascara since I first learned to wear makeup and I am now 43. I never had one problem with it. I had consistently beautiful full lashes with this mascara and now I have smudges under my eyes after a few hours every time I use it. I'm so sad that the formula has changed because it's the only mascara I have like enough to use repeatedly since I was a kid. I've tried other things here and there over the years but nothing held a candle to this. Please bring back the original formula. Just make different editions that people can try out if they want to, in addition to the original formula PLEASE.

I tried this product for a change from what I had been using and was disappointed........the brush itself was "clumpy" and found it difficult to use because of this

The formula must have changed. I have worn voluminous mascara for almost 30 years. It now flakes off and irritates my eyes. I am so sad because I used to love this mascara. I will have to find another brand. I have tried other L’Oréal products but they all irritate my eyes. Very disappointed.

The original formula was the best mascara EVER, in fact I was planning on only ever using this mascara, but ever since they changed it, it transitioned into something called “ complete and utter disappointment” so much so, that it actually made me cry. What was once a one of a kind mascara, has now become no better than any other, and frankly, sales wise, I fail to see how it would benefit the company to do something like this. Therefore, L’Oréal Paris, you should seriously consider reinstating the original formula for not only the good of your lifelong clients, but also for your profits. Thank you.

So sad been using this since 1996 and now that the formula changed it’s awful. It clumps up and flakes off. Nothing like it use to be. Hope they go back to the original soon!!!!

Please go back to the old formula. I’ve used this mascara for over 25 years. It was my go to, I’d recommend it to everyone. One person asked me if I had false eyelashes on. Then the formula changed and it is awful. I can’t wear it. It doesn’t add volume anymore and it’s really flaky when I remove it and it irritates my eye. I don’t know why you’d change the formula of such a popular mascara. It was perfect the way it was. So disappointing.

The original Voluminous mascara was perfect in every way, made my lashes look long and thick, some mascaras only do one or the other, this one always did both. It’s the only mascara I’ve ever used since my teens and I’m 48. I noticed in the last year or so, (maybe two), that it wasn’t working the same so I finally started trying others sadly. It clumps up now and dries out quickly. Doesn’t separate the lashes or make them look full or long and the texture seems “sticky”. I won’t be buying another tube just to throw it away. Whatever you’ve changed in the formula, you ruined it. Used to the best on the market.

I was so excited to use this mascara again since it used to be my daily driver. When I applied it, it went on so smoothly and I was so excited for how it made my lashes look. Within 20 minutes I started feeling the burning and itching sensation. I thought I had allergies, so didn’t think to take it off or that it had anything to do with the mascara. When I took it off at the end of the day, the mascara had gotten in my eyes, making the rash and itch even worse. I woke up the next day with my eyes almost sealed shut from the swelling and the itching was so bad. My eye lids were so swollen as well as my under eyes even down to my cheeks and nose. It has been an incredibly uncomfortable 48 hours since I applied the mascara. I finally made the connection that the only new thing in my routine was this mascara so it was 100% sure it was an allergic reaction to this mascara. Based on several reviews/forums online, it sounds like it’s a common occurrence.

This mascara is awful. I've used this in the past, but it's not even close to the same (new formula?). It was clumpy, dry, and made my eyelashes very brittle and break. I thought maybe I bought one that was old, but I looked up reviews and my experience seems to be the consensus.

Used to love this mascara but now can only find it I 9x 11x 15x and it clumps and irritates my eyes. Would love the original back. I would tell everyone it’s the best mascara but now I’m at a loss.

Why, why, why would you change the formula? It went from the best tmascara to eh. Please bring the original back!

I don't know what they did to this mascara, but all of a sudden it's so hard to remove! It used to be so easy to take off. Not anymore. Time to change.

I have used this product for decades and I am so sad you decided to change the formula. I went store to store for months buying up the old mascara formula and have now finally ran out. This is such a disappointment. The new formula makes my eyes tear and clumps the lashes together. This had never been the case in the past. My hope is your team will realize their error and bring back the old formula. Until then I am on to find a replacement..,

The old stuff was much better. I hope I can still get it. You should bring it back.

I have used the Voluminous Original mascara for years and it was the best product - better than any other drugstore or high end mascara out there. However, I will sadly not be buying it anymore since the release of the new formula. It applies horribly and is very difficult to remove. I’ll be looking into different brands going forward. I am very disappointed. Why change something that was great !!! No, I do not recommend this product.

I have been a faithful customer for many years. My last few purchases have been far below what I expect from your products. Your Voluminous Original is far from the Original formula I have always found without fault.

I bought the Carbon Black thinking it was going to be just like the other voluminous collection, but this was just a terrible product. Smudged all over my face, giving me raccoon eyes within 20 mins. This formula is not it. Not sure what they changed in the formula on this one but avoid at all costs. Super strange considering I love the Blue, Green, Burgundy and the Original Black! Not really sure how they messed up Carbon Black this badly!
