How does tone on tone formula work ?
A tone-on-tone formula contains two products: a colouring cream and a developer. The same way as traditional hair colour, the two components need to be mixed before application.
A tone-on-tone hair dye primarily provides to the consumers reflects without changing the tone level of their hair. The reflects fade over time without a "root effect". Moreover, it can provide optimal coverage of grey hair up to 70% (depending on the shade), whereas classic oxidative colouring can provide up to 100% coverage.
Tone on tone is not recommended for people who have more than 70% of grey hair or for people who want a lighter colour than they currently have.

- Reduce the lift and ensure a minimum rootline effect.

It's BACK!!!

It's the old formula again it seems! Black 100 has no weird reddish tint. I would love to see them expand the shade ranges but am so happy for neutral black: I would like to try and compare 200, the plum, and black cherry which I have all tried before the "natural gloss" took over. Really hope this shows up in stores!!!

Shiny chocolate brown refresh

used shade 635 Chocolate Candy in the evening and it was really easy to do at home. The cream was simple to apply and didn’t drip much. The smell was also nicer than most box dyes. After rinsing, the conditioner made my hair feel very soft and look shinier. The color turned out like a warm chocolate brown and looked pretty natural. It covered some lighter strands, but a few stubborn ones were more blended than fully covered (which I didn’t mind).

This was a great hair dye to add colour and shine to my fading highlights! I used the shade 400 Dark Brown. I like that it didn’t have a harsh smell when applying. It did a great job of covering up my old colour (plus some mild grey), adding some dimension and a healthy glossy refresh. My hair feels soft and looks healthy. I especially enjoyed the glossing mask - I hope to get a couple of uses out of it. Will try some other shades in future.

I used the L'Oreal Paris Casting Creme Gloss in Iced Brown (415) and I absolutely love it! The instructions were very straight forward and easy to follow, the colouring cream and activator were easy and mess free to mix, and the mixed solution went on easily and drip free. One other thing I did happen to notice that I really liked was that it didn't have a really strong chemical smell like most other at home hair dye kits have. All in all the overall experience was really good and I absolutely love and adore the finished look. I've had so many comments on my hair from both friends and family, as well as from several complete strangers! I highly recommend L'Oreal Paris Casting Creme Gloss in Iced Brown (415).

Smooth and glossy hair

Super to easy to apply, did not have a strong smell. Easy to follow and understand instructions for a beginner like me. Surprisingly box has enough product for a hair length below shoulder. I applied it on damp hair and kept it on for 30-35 minutes as I have thick and dark hair. No irritation on ryes or skin at all. Rinsed it afterwards and applied glossing conditioner that came in the box, results are amazing. My hair feel super smooth and glossy. I’m honestly impressed with how natural and glossy the results look. The colour came out as a rich, deep brown that looks warm and not too dark. I'm used to using box dyes and I was surprised at the results from this product. First off - the packaging was so nice and I loved that the instructions were printed inside of the box. The process to mix the colour was very simple to use and the instructions were easy to understand. The product it self did not have much of a harsh scent, it was fairly scented. The colour it self looked SO pretty. It added a natural shine to my hair. It came out lovely. I will be using this product again. The packaging, especially the developer bottle is almost identical to olia, but the ratio is different. The resulting color is softer, not as strong as olia, which i do think if you have grey hair it might not cover. Overall decent but not particularly impressive.

I'm a huge fan of the Glycolic Gloss shampoo, conditioner & hair mask from the brand, so I was really excited to try out this hair dye. I also really appreciate that the marketing materials include models with curly hair, because it can be hard to find examples of how colour will look on my hair texture.
The colour is easy to use and has a lot of longevity for a semi-permanent, but I honestly didn't feel like it was anything special. I'll probably just stick to my usual Glycolic gloss shampoo, conditioner & hair mask routine in the future.

I am very happy with the final colour and above all happy that it has no harsh chemicals in it that usually make my scalp burn/tingle. Doesn't smell bad. I am using a colour protective shampoo and conditionner to keep the colour longer. Will definitely try out other colours. Would be cool if they did unnatural colours as well like blue pink green etc

I'm so happy I got to try this and it fully lived up to the hype. I have coarse type 4 hair and it usually is on the dryer side after a box color, but this left my hair feeling supple and glossy, with no dryness, at least not so far. The texture of the cream is quite thick so it stayed put. It was also really easy to spread, and not super cumbersome to do by myself. The scent was surprisingly pleasant and rinsing it out was smooth too, and the color developed evenly into a subtle shiny cool-toned brown, loving it so far too! Because of my texture and I also have thick hair i thought of getting another just to be safe but this one box worked just fine. I don’t often do my own hair colouring at home; however, when I do, I trust using L’Oreal Paris Casting Crème Gloss! During the summer months, I usually go a fairly light and bright blonde but now that it’s January, I wanted to go slightly darker which is why I decided to try the colour 700 dark blonde. Natural color

I’ve been coloring my hair for years, so I know very well how hair dyes can affect hair. I had already heard about this product before, but this was my first time actually trying it. And honestly, I loved the color. It was exactly my favorite shade. The tone looks so natural and soft on the hair, not harsh at all. That natural brightness it gives is what I liked the most.
I can’t really comment on how it works on gray hair since I don’t have any, but the color payoff and the overall look on my hair were amazing. The applicator and tube are super easy to use, and the conditioner that comes with it is really nice. After coloring, my hair felt so soft.
