Magic Root Precision Dark Brown

Anyone who has ever been chastised by a salon specialist for touching up their own roots between appointments will appreciate this handy little device! For the rest of us, it will bring self confidence & social ease at a time that could otherwise be spent dodging cameras & ducking out of group photos! Why didn't they think of this sooner? When you've got an event but don't have the time to get your roots touched up, this will save you! It's a quick & effective solution to cover incoming grey & root regrowth when you don't have time to take more permanent actions. It covers grey with a natural, undetectable, rich pigment that appears natural in photos & up close & personal! Its also an effective solution for those who are newly greying... when the strands of grey first appear but are not yet able to come to grips ... this would be handy for those situations when you don't care enough about the grey most of the time, but every now & then you want to briefly turn back the clock ... like parent teacher night? or an anticipated rendezvous with an ex? Though not a recommended use, I've also discovered that this is the perfect product to mask thinning hair! I apply it directly to my scalp onto the thin patches around my hairline & temples. It totally covers up my scalp ... Since menopause, my hair, fine & thin to begin with, is getting thinner... My scalp is visible, especially under direct lighting! Yes, you can see my shiny, bald head & the newly acquired grey just accentuates the bald look! I normally wear my hair pinned up with a little fake bun, I apply the Root Magic all around as required & I look marvellous! well, as marvellous as a post menopausal woman can...It's fast, convenient, super easy & not as time consuming as you'd think. A small, portable cylinder contains a product that dries quickly to an undetectable powder that you apply to the regrowth with the attached brush.( BTW, Be patient: at first numerous twists are required to initiate the flow ... the box states up to twenty times & I concur) The bristles on the brush are short, stiff & densely packed to allow precise application to the base of the hair which you then brush upwards to distribute evenly along the grey part of the strands. It dries quickly & sets. I've found that hairspray seems to reduce transfer. There's no fall out & it washes out easily with your next shampoo! It is easy to use and small enough to travel with, so you have it anytime you need. The color was a good match and there was no odor or chemical smell. I got a chance to try this for free through Topbox Circle. As much as I was excited and I'm grateful for the opportunity, the product was a tad disappointing to me. Maybe it's because my greys were in single strands, but even though I injected a generous amount of colour into the brush, for some reason I just could not get it to localize on those strands! It would push against my scalp as I ran the brush across my hair but not cover the strand itself. Maybe I just don't have enough greys (it needs to be in patches instead of the single random strand)? I loved how easily and quickly this product covered the grays in my temple area. They are always stubborn when it comes to dying but this product is a perfect solution. It took me less than 5 minutes to get them covered. The twist application and brush worked great. I used it in the day and night time and could not believe how great the colour match was! It lasted much longer than I thought it would. My only complaint is that it made my head feel itchy. I felt good about my appearance when the grays were covered! Felt like I had a bounce in my step!

I have used this product before and recently got to try it again, and it works! It is easy to use and is a great substitute to taking care of any gray hairs that may appear in between fully coloring your hair. I would say try to avoid using this on super greasy hair so as to not risk bleeding of the color. Otherwise, it is handy to have in your purse for an application anytime! #freeproduct

I got this as #freeproduct from Topbox for review. Unfortunately, as much as I wanted to use the product longer before reviewing it but I received the package late. I will just review it again after a month for accuracy of my review. The color is nice and looking natural, it is a perfect match to my hair. I also appreciate that it is ammonia and peroxide free. The scent is not that strong. It doesn’t work in just one dab, so just apply to or more to make cover hair well. What I don’t like is it covered my scalp also so I used cotton buds with water to erase it. It is very lightweight, not drying and doesn’t feel sticky. The brush is nice but it could be better. If only the brush is a little bit thinner so I could use it to my eyebrows too. I would definitely buy again and recommend this to my friends.

I used this to touch up on my roots to match my color hair. I like how simple it is to use this. It is a fast touch up in between dying my hair. It is fast, convenient, and on-the-go root touch up.

I got this for free from Topbox and I used it once, but picked the wrong color as it was too light for my hair to really make a difference. That was my own fault and I'm sure had I gotten the right color, it would have worked like it was supposed to. It kind of has a chemical smell to it, but since it's not for whole head use, that shouldn't make too much a difference. I love the idea of it for covering roots, so I will be buying the right color for my hair.

Having grey hair has its challenges. I dye my hair every 3 weeks but after dying, within few days, the grey starts to appear in the roots and around the temple area making it hard to cover through touch-up. This is why I was pretty excited to test Loreal Magic Root Precision in the hopes that it would make the problem of covering my grey, especially at the times when I need a quick solution, go away, but sadly this product didn't seem to impress me much. Although on one hand it is pretty easy to use and did successfully cover my greys around the temples well, but on the other hand after application my hair felt stiff which was not very pleasing. Having said that, I would not completely switch away from it and keep it handy for times when I am in a hurry and need a quick fix for my greys. But would definitely prefer this if there is any other product available that won't make my hair stiff. *I recieved the product for free from @TopBoxCircle.

I love this product. It is easy to use and there is no smell. I love the fact that it is temporary. I applied it on my roots and at the sides. No mess and it actually covered my grey. I've used the L'Oreal root touch up spray for a long time and it's been a life saver. My only issue was that I couldn't get right along the hair line without looking like I spray painted my face. So, I was thrilled when I received this product from Topbox Circle to test and review. The first time I applied it I messed it up a bit and ended up with excess "dye" on my scalp. It was easy enough to blend in though, so it was no big deal. I just used a lighter touch the next time I applied it and it was fine. There was no sticky or crusty residue once it dried, like some similar products that I've tried, and it blended in really well with great grey coverage. I found that both this and the spray don't actually completely wash out the first time. It does leave a bit of residue behind but I'm totally fine with it, saves me from having to re-apply after washing my hair. Love this product! #freeproduct

I received this product to test out. I enjoyed using this product. It's more precise than the spray touch up I've tried out. The colour match was spot on and it lasted most of the day. It's small enough to put in your purse should you need to touch up before going out at night. I received a #freesample tomreview this product. I have tried other root colouring products and have always been dissapoubted by flaking, rub off/transfer and sticky residue. this product is the best! Quick, prefect coverage, no door or transfer. Would Recommend.

The new magic root precision is an easy to use temporary concealer. Conveniently it is a perfect size for travel or to easily stored in your makeup bag. This is perfect for those stubborn hard to cover grey’s. It cover my temple area and scattered grey hairs nicely!

I used before work, to cover the grey roots. I don't always have time to dye my hair seeing i have dark hair with grey and it always seems to stand out more. It went on smoothly and easy and with full coverage of my grey, but if you have a lot of grey it might take a while to do long roots like I have I would recommend for short outgrown hair. I didn't find any smell, but I also use perfumes in my hair and scented detangler before i apply this root touch up. I received this #freeproduct to try from #trywithtopbox and just in time too! I have dark brown hair and it is "highlighted" with silver/gray streaks. I do colour my hair as needed and it is needed much more often lately. Before a meeting at work this week I used the "pen" to cover some gray at the temples and where my part is. The coverage is excellent but make sure you have time to get it done. My only issue with this product is that the application is done with a brush type tip. I think it might be easier if it was a sponge type but the benefits still outweigh that issue. Just make sure you leave yourself time to do it. I put a little on the back of my hand and actually had to use makeup remover to get it off. Staying power in your hair is great. No running, no streaks on your pillow! And very natural looking. I'll keep using this one and stretch colour times to keep my hair healthy. Oh, and one last thing don't fret if you have to turn the pen bottom lots of times to get the product up first time around.

I dye my hair a lot but generally my grey hair will come back within about a week after I dye my hair and I cannot touch up that early. My greys usually appear right by my temples and the spray root touch up makes it very hard to get into that area without hitting my face. The precision brush allowed me to get the grey hairs around my face without making a huge mess and I could easily clean up any excess dye that came out on my face. The brush makes getting the specific hairs much easier than a spray too. I would definitely use this product again. I just wish it didn't wash off with shampooing because I have to wash my hair every other day. #freeproduct

I received this product free to test. I liked that it was easy to use. I used it before work in the morning and it quickly covered my stray grey hairs and left no mess on my face or clothes. I got it free to try. Even though my hair are dark brown it didn't much my color completely. It was slightly different shade. It is a good product when you get use to it. At first I colored my scalp but later I was a professional. I would recommend it between coloring hair. It covered my gray roots nicely. Definitely worth to have it at home.
