Usage
How to dye hair :
48h before colouring do the allergy test.
Step 1: Mix. Pour entire contents of colour gel into developer bottle. Replace precision applicator cap.
Step 2: Shake. Unscrew the tip from the precision applicator cap. Placing finger over the tip, shake until mixture is completely blended.
Step 3: Choose your applicator tip: The precision tip or the soft brush tip.
Step 4: Apply where there are the most visible grays. Then color the hairline. Make sure to saturate your roots with color. Leave on for 10 minutes & rinse.

First time trying this type of product and it covered my roots well especially down the center of my hair. Not a strong smell like a lot of hair coloring. Very fast and easy way to cover up grays or dark roots in between salon visits. Only minor issue was a little bit of staining in the hair line but was able to wipe that away with a damp cloth easily. Packaging was high quality and easy to follow directions. Very good product by L’Oreal.

Not enough blonde coverage of dark grow out

The lightest blonde did not lighten my roots enough. Turned slightly orangish. I even left in on for 13 min because I could see it was lightening enough. It there a lighter shade. Easy application, great construction, but still not happy with outcome. I guess I'll have to go back to the salon when it grows out to mget the results I was hoping for. I wish it had worked. Do you have platinum?

All natural haircolor that is darker than pale blonde has red and gold pigments. When you lighten your natural color, these warm gold and red pigments are revealed. With most single-process permanent haircolors such as this, you can lighten your hair only up to two shades lighter than your natural color without exposing these warm tones. If a brassy result is still achieved, the shade used may have been too light for your starting color. Unfortunately, leaving the product on longer will not provide additional lift. We do not carry a Platinum shade in this line, but would be happy to provide more customized advice and recommendations to help you reach your goal shade successfully!

I do not have a ton of gray but the strands I have are on my temples and on top of head on part.. did not cover gray as claimed if anything drew more attention to the weird bronze highlights it created

I have to say I was really impressed with this stuff. Only 10 minutes! I chose 8 minutes because I wasn't quite sure how it was going to work. My roots were white. This did cover in 8 minutes. I did the roots but then blended it in with the rest of my hair so I wouldn't get "lines". Always go at least one shade lighter than you think you should. I will be using this again.

The product does what it’s intended to do, I have used it twice and the fishy/outdoor dog smell is atrocious. It can’t be the Amino acids in my hair, I’ve tried many other hair dies and this smell has never occurred. The stench lingers for a few days, I would much rather have the ammonia smell! I like how the product works but the smell turns my stomach

Beware of orange results

Disaster using number 8 color mixed 50/50 with number 9 on my 75% gray/white roots. Hair came out orange! I had previously used number 9 that had a nice pale color with no orange but wanted a darker color. I even mixed the developers 50/50 as well. The only thing that saved me- temporarily- was purple gloss and purple shampoo or I would be a carrot top head. I will have to permanently tone these redish roots now for correction.

Change in formula a mistake

I’ve purchased this for along time. The last few times it’s just been horrible. It’s so wet and it splatters all over the place!!! It was not this way. I’m not sure what they have changed but it’s a huge mistake. Last can.

Not one gray was dyed but my time and money was wasted, you shouldn't be allowed to make money off of selling a product that is absolutely useless, I use your hair dye loreal excellence and it works great but I will figure out another brand based off this experience

I used this product for the first time to stretch my colour - I was amazed how well it worked and blended. I will buy again. I used light brown on my roots and have blonde streaks. Next time I’ll use a blonder shade. Covered about 90% of my grey poking through. Amazing!!

Turned my hair orange

I used the medium brown and it turned my roots orange/brown. I followed the instructions and now need to get it fixed. Looks horrible. Will never use again.

Great Color Coverage BUT Spreads- TOO too drippy

I have used the 9 color several times and I do really like the coverage and how long it lasts however it is incredibly thin and liquidy what that means is after a few minutes of application it starts to drip down as in my intention of covering the roots of a half inch slides to full inch or more- since this is permanent, I’m sure that means it is going over my old hair that does not to be need to be recolored. I am aftaid of causing extra damage. The quantity in the container is small so it only covers my crown area. I had to get this three stars because I cannot use it knowing that it will color my already colored hair by spreading, which will cause a lot of damage if they could make the formula thicker so it would not drip like crazy that would help. I also put thick conditioner on the rest of my hair dry that is not colored so that it will not wash into my longer blond strands at rinse out. I am a dedicated at home Hair Colorist so I have used numerous formulas over the last 35 years. I don’t recall using one that spreads so quickly. over untreated hair.
