100/10, except for the strong perfume scent, ug

The product performance is 100/10. I have thick, wavy, color treated hair. I’ve used this twice on dry hair and my blonde hair was transformed, shiny, like natural/pre color treated hair and de-puffed. I love this, BUT, the smell is overwhelming and does not dissipate over time. The scent is very strong, notes of cheap perfume and synthetic sweet fruitiness.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not good at all.

I have always used Loreal hair products and never had a problem with it. Until I got the glossing elvive line. I have always had long thick hair that everyone would compliment, but this product would make my scalp itch super bad and have me getting out of the shower with a whole wad of hair in my hand. I’ve kept useing it cause I didnt realize it until after so many washes. My hair felt so dry and crunchy and now I am left with so much breakage and it’s so upsetting. My mom used the same shampoo and conditioner and woke up with new significant breakage as well. We are both blondes with color and I would not recommend this product..

Amazing results

To preface- I have really easy to manage hair (straight/black/thick). I pair the serum with leave in conditioner with argon oil infused with it. This product has really added so much shine and vibrancy to my hair. It took a while for me to see the results about a month of consistent use, hence 4 stars. Another aspect I noticed is my hair holds more moisture than before integrating it with my hair care. I know glycolic acid helps with moisture absorption but I wasn’t expecting such amazing results. Truly the most bang for your buck and I will be repurchasing this serum.

Overpowering, unpleasant fragrance

I want to love this product, because it makes my fine, straight hair so happy. Unfortunately I can't get past the scent, which is so strong that it lingers on my hair and even my hands for hours after use. I'm not a fan of the scent anyway, but I would tolerate it if it dissipated at all. It's too overpowering, though, and leaves me nauseated after smelling it all day. I'm so sad to have to toss the bottle.

Extreme hair loss

I would give this product is zero or maybe even a minus score if I could. After about 4 weeks of using glycolic gloss my hair was falling out so rapidly I became bald from my forehead to the crown in a strip about 5 in wide. Thankfully my hair has slowly recovered since I quit using it. With all of the negative reviews and the reports of hair loss this product should probably be taken off the market.

Terrible

I wanted to give L’Oreal’s hair gloss for silver white hair a five star. But I can say this, I will never buy that again. It burned my scalp. I left it on for 11 minutes and it turned my hair darker than what the box claimed also burned and irritated the back of my neck and wherever it dripped down. So if you have sensitive scalp, I would be aware
