I bought this a few months ago and use it almost daily on damp hair. My hair before using the serum was completely dead, broken and did not absorb any serum or oil. Now it has left it soft, moisturised and shiny. Smell divine

Amazing affordable results

products work differently on different people, but for me the results were brilliant. For context, I have fine hair but lots of it with really bleached level 10 highlights and I originally used K18 on it (which is The Gold Standard imo) and I now use this range as an affordable option to maintain the good work K18 did. As my hair is very greasy I have to wash it every couple of days and it really needs blow drying and heat tools on it, so it really gets a lot of hammering. I particularly like the pre shampoo stuff and leave it in for hours or overnight, and it leaves my hair looking shiny and healthy and it feels strong and bouncy. Very pleased.

Awful serum

I have blonde highlights and usually use argan oil on my hair to make it feel soft and smooth but decided to buy this product due to it being on sale, it does not moisturise at all it makes hair feel dry and frizzy. It leaves a sticky and crispy residue where I’m constantly brushing my hair after use to get it back to normal. The product has a very chemically smell which my partner and others actually commented on. Very disappointing product.

Need to Use Properly!!

I think the reason why this product has gotten some bad reviews is that people have not read how to use it properly. It says to use only two drops! Now I have long hair down to my waist so I did use three droplets. I spread the product on the palm of my hands and then spread it through my damp hair. Only once I did not feel any more product on my hands did I stop. I let my hair air dry and then blow-dried it slightly and it came out feeling soft and silky all the way through. I think why some reviews say that their hair felt sticky and or dry is using too much product! You have to use ONLY TWO DROPS. Do that and your hair will come out silky smooth. Just for interest my hair is dyed and I'm 66 years old and have been dying my hair since I was 28.

I saw all the great reviews about this product, so I gave it a try. The first few days were fine, hair was the same. However, after a week or so, my hair became super dry. They made the ends worse than before, with more split ends. Very disappointed with this product.

Awful

Left my hair feeling dry, frizzy and brittle. I noticed the dryness after the first use, but used for a couple weeks just incase it was a coincidence. It was not. A few days after stopping use, my hair started feeling better. I also broke out in pi.ples on my scalp, which never happened before. The serum reeks like alcohol too.

Saw this on sale so as Loreal has always had overall good products thought I would try it. Unfortunately it has an awful chemically smell & after a few months I have not noticed any improvement in my hair condition. The shampoo in the range is nice but this isn’t.

Longer better condition to my hair

I got this to help with my post chemo hair. I always had lovely, tight curly hair until I had Cancer. Where my hair fell out all together,underneath at the back, it grew back black and curly but where it had thinned, it grew back grey and frizzy. I have tried every thing, so thought I would try this. I put it through my damp hair and left it to dry naturally. I am so pleased my hair is smooth and shiny. Definitely on my hair care product list from.now on. I just love L'Oréal products. ❤️

I really like the rest of the line, but serum is not good. It dries my hair. The smell is awful but this is not my biggest problem with this product. It gives zero benefits to the hair. It makes the hair look like a broom. It dries it out soo much, takes away the shine and the softness. I have never experienced such bad result from any serum before. The shampoo tho is really good, just the smell is bad.

I think the citric acid is too much. It on its own has 0 benefits for hair- it’s a lightening/ bleaching agent. Not sure what ingredients specifically caused my hair to feel like straw and soo dry after use but it also left it a little sticky. The smell is acidic, but it changes as you apply it to your hair- gets nicer. However, this actually reduced my hair shine and caused it to feel rough, dry and it was slightly difficult to manage after application. I had to re wash and apply usual heat protection/ oil. Wouldn’t recommend for mixed race hair.. or any hair that wants to feel like lemon juice has been applied to it. I think there should be more natural/ organic and beneficial ingredients than all the alcohols and acids in this product to actually create healthy shine and prevent breakage. Price wise it’s okay- there are more expensive options on the market so can’t complain about the pricing.

I guess I'm used to the shampoo foam! It felt great to take more time with my hair care and self care routines though.
Used as a whole product line I have noticed a difference in my hair. Being a new Mum it's put up most of the day and I was finding the ends went dry and frizzy where my last colour was growing out. Since using this product I have notice my ends are smoother, and less tangled. My whole hair has a better shine and brushes easier. Even my partner noticed that it was smelling great and feeling nicer!

I prefer to use this while my hair is damp, as it feels too greasy on dry hair. I felt like it didn’t contribute much to my hair, just made it a bit shiny. Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product has really helped to revive my damaged hair. After using for a few weeks my hair already feels stronger, smoother and a lot healthier. It's much more manageable and there is less hair on my hairbrush now. My hair is very long, goes all the way to my bottom. When I brushed it before, it felt like I was stretching my hair and it would sometimes snap. This product has really helped to stop all of that and make my hair feel a lot stronger. When I use all of the Elvive Bond Repair products together it feels like I've just come from a salon. I feel pampered and rejuvenated. I would definitely recommend using it!

Softens hair

I was skeptical at first, as the serum is quick thick and tacky, and I was worried it would leave a residue and weigh my hair down. However it soaks in beautifully, and leaves my hair feeling soft and reduces flyaways. The smell is quite chemically at first but once it soaks in it’s a nice scent.
