Plump Ambition pH Color- Changing Lip Oil

Both pics are 10 minutes after application to show the color change WITH the gloss and the color when the gloss is wiped off. I didn't think to grab a before pic, but for reference, my lips have almost ZERO pigment naturally. I am particular about cosmetics and skeptical about drug store products... I took a gamble on this and won! I can say I 100% love this stuff! I purchased the second to the lightest shade of the four options (020 ph Rosé). I'm 51 yo Caucasian with light/neutral undertones and live in the desert. As part of the aging process, my lips have naturally lost pigment. When I use any lip product to get back some color, moisturizing/hydrating balms, sticks or glosses, the products 'bleed' past the lip line into the super fine lines. 30 minutes after application, I end up looking a little clownish thanks to that phenomenon. In addition, the darker, highly pigmented colors of my youth are no longer flattering so I've been struggling to find SOMETHING to give my lips some natural color. I have even considered lip blushing to get back some pigment. Well this ph formula is an answer to ALL of those issues and it's so much cheaper than lip blushing. Yes it stings for a few minutes after application just like any other plumping formula. That tingle is what seems to start the initial flush of color - just your own body reacting to the tingle or slight 'burn'. After 5-10 minutes, the color is then set by the ph color reactivity. Now...a note about the ph color reaction...my 50+ yo ladies, this is NOT the color changing lip product from the 80's that always ended up that terrible shade of hot pink. The color reaction on me was a very subtle, neutral pinky/peach color. I removed the gloss after the 10 minute mark (I snack and drink a lot so it always comes off anyway) and I could SEE my lips now. It didn't look at ALL like a lip stain color or like a product had been applied...it was the original color that my lips used to be! Even though I had wiped away the gloss after 10 min, my lips stayed tinted for hours. The formula is NOT oily feeling at all so the name is a little misleading. It feels good - protective and cushion-y so when fully applied, it fills in the superficial lines which adds to the plumped look. It doesn't travel into the finer lines outside of the lip line. The ONLY reason I gave 4, not 5 stars is the flavor. It's not horrible but it's not pleasant. If I would eat/drink only at mealtimes, this wouldn't be a concern for me. Otherwise, I've found my holy grail!!!

When I tell you I will stock up on this one every time I see it in the store, I mean it! Most plumpers I’ve tried have such an uncomfortable “burning” sensation and taste awful should you lick your lips! This Plump Ambition has a slight “plumping” feel to it but has no taste whatsoever. I also love that it’s made with hyaluronic acid so it doubles as skincare for your lips at the same time as looking so shiny and glossy! This is even great to use over lip liner, giving you a natural look without tons of color! It’s not sticky at all and literally hydrates your lips for hours! It comes in so many other colors, but this one is my favorite by far! The soft applicator that it comes with makes gliding it over your lips so easy! I will never go without this from here out!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t normally use plumping lip products but this one’s great! It’s not sticky and doesn’t burn it just has a nice minty tingling effect and the glossy color is so pretty and light.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lip oil is a new fav! I can feel the tingling of the plumping, but it doesn’t feel like my lips are on fire like many other products like it. The shine is lovely and completes my lip look every time. A bit sticky so I don’t recommend using it in a windy day if you’re wearing your hair down. 😉

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lipgloss made my lips nice and tingly so I knew that it was working. I saw a little bit of a plumping effect, but I’ve had plumper that plump a little bit more. It gives a nice glossy shine and is not too sticky. I really enjoyed using it.

My lips had a nice shine to them. The color on my lips was not really noticeable. It wipes off easy when I went to apply my other lip products.
