I bought this for my daughter who has long wavy auburn hair which she likes to straighten with a hair iron. It is sticky, drying, and permanently burned rough patches onto the edge of the iron that cannot be scrubbed off with a plastic scubber. As a result, I will likely need to throw out that curling iron (Remington) which she has used for several years. I bought this product as we could not find the usual product we had been using. Will not use again. I am surprised it has so many 5 star reviews. Are people spraying it on only after using a hot applicance?

[Employee of loreal] I actually liked what the end result looked like! But after reading the ingredients, I was disappointed in the alcohol contents in it. I will use as a back up.

PLEASE BRING BACK THE QUICK DRY HEAT SPRAY, this product is not comparable. The quick dry spray was the best hair product I have ever used, can’t find anything similar

Slippery floors

Sprayed my hair with this in our bathroom. This product makes your floors dangerously slippery. My spouse and I both fell. It took two washes to get the product of our bathroom floor.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Lackluster compared to the discontinued primer

This is L’Oréals recommended replacement for their discontinued BLOW DRY IT Quick Dry Primer Spray. Not sure why, there is no comparison. As someone with thick hair, I relied on the quick dry it primer spray to cut dry time. This one doesn't seem to cut dry time at all and does not leave hair shiny or soft like the original product. PLEASE bring back BLOW DRY IT Quick Dry Primer Spray or make something truly comparable.

I am just asking why you stopped making L’Oreal quick dry primer spray for hair? This product doesn’t seem to have the quick draw in it and yet it is recommended as a replacement.
The other product was so perfect and I’m not the only one who thought so because looking at all the reviews people are asking, why you discontinue it.

So this is better than some of the other drug store brands but I think they could do better.
It sprays on evenly, smells nice, but the only downfall is that it leaves your hair tacky. I'd use it in a pinch but would not be my new go to.

I loved the smell of this heat protectant and the packaging reminds me of summer! ❤ I am used to applying it to dry hair right before flat ironing but this one is applied to damp hair to help with the blow dryer too. Do not flat iron your damp hair! Worth noting, when sprayed "recklessly" be mindful of getting it on the floor. It made my lino really slick. Overall a good drug store product.

I have been using my heat tools less during the pandemic, but I still worry about damaging my hair. I was excited to try this spray, the scent is amazing! Maybe it’s the texture of my hair, but I found this left too much residue behind. Maybe skip your conditioner if you plan to use this before styling your hair.

I love this product. The smell, the shine and the protection! You can’t go wrong with a heat protectant and this one works great! It leaves my hair soft and helps keep the style in place. It doesn’t leave a film on my hair as i find with some others that i’ve used. I recommend this!

I like that my hair feels really nice after use. I find the straightener doesn’t stick so much. It’s a good product. It has a very very strong smell so if you have sensitivities I would avoid it. But other would probably repurchase.

It seems to work; don’t smell the burning smell associated with some products; but it definitely doesn’t wow me. Found you need to be pretty cautious of applying too much product or else you can end up sticky or greasy. I prefer the tre semme version if you are looking for something in a similar price range.

This stuff is good! I enjoyed getting to test it out. I always use a heat protector in my hair so I don’t damage it. It smells good and is a good price too. Honestly I probably wouldn’t purchase myself just because I love what I normally use, but if you’re in the market then I definitely recommend trying this out. It says it’s to use pre-iron, however I just blow dry and sometimes curl my hair and it did the trick.

Can’t tell much of a difference

I rated this 4 stars because a lot of heat protectants leave my hair stringy or sticky. I can’t tell much of a difference in the way my hair looks / feels after using just this product, though in combination with the Wonder Water it makes my hair look and feel better overall. If this really protects my hair then it is an awesome product for being so lightweight, but my hair was pretty damaged well before using this, so there’s no real way for me to tell whether it works at protecting my hair from heat / damage.

This is a really great heat protectant! It has a really nice scent that goes hand in hand with the Wonder Water. The nozzle is perfect, it distributes the spray very easily.
I have naturally curly hair so I use this a couple times a month when I’m straightening my hair!
I’ll definitely be buying this when my bottle is finished and adding this to my hair care routine.

Okay, I really like this. I always like finding a good heat protector for a decent price. My only concern for this product is that some got on my floor and it made my floor so slippery. Aside from that, this product is great. I like the way it made my hair feel; definitely less frizz and smoother.

I enjoyed this heat spray! it has a nice scent and seems to do what it is supposed to do, I have pretty frizzy long dry hair and after using this spray and straightening my hair seems to be less frizzy and softer. I would likely repurchase this product in the future.

I received the L’Oréal heat slayer spray complimentary of Influenster. I like that this comes in a spray format as it’s easier to use and spreads better throughout your hair. This product should be a decent price since it is a drugstore brand and would get the job done of protecting your hair against heat.
