I tried the new L'oréal paris Elvive Volume Collagen Lifter mousse recently and I must say, I got what I expected from L'oréal; always lives up to their claims. My hair naturally is frizzy and flat, and using this product paired with styling really helped tame the frizz and gave my hair a good lift and volume . On another note, as the weather got humid, the volume effect gradually started to fade and needed a quick touch up. Also, being an oily scalp girlie, I didn't notice any greese in my hair up untill fourth day, which is reasonable for me, as many other products I tried haven't performed as well. Overall, for the price this product is for, its a worthy purchase for sure and definitely adding this to my styling routine. Seriously obsessed with this mousse! If your hair ever feels lifeless or refuses to hold a style, this stuff is a lifesaver. First off - the smell and texture are amazing—it pumps out as this super light airy foam that feels weightless and smells so good. Whenever my hair is feeling a bit flat that day, it does really well with volumizing my hair and giving me that extra bounce and body without any crunchiness. Not Bad but No Volume Difference

I didn't notice any difference in volume when I used it so if you're looking for volume, I wouldn't recommend this product. However.... I did find it helped make my curls less messy-looking in the morning and helped a bit to keep my curls in their shape when I added it to my routine. To be fair, I usually just use a leave-in conditioner and/or curl cream. So I may have a similar effect if I incorporated any mousse rather than just this one. Forms a nice crunchy cast that is scrunched out easily, leaving smooth shiny curls. It was good but not great, an average mousse. Did not notice any volume build, unfortunately.

I used this mousse on damp hair before blow-drying in the morning. It was easy to apply, felt lightweight, and didn’t leave my hair sticky or crunchy, which I appreciated. Does Exactly What a Mousse Should

Overall, I liked this mousse. Just keep in mind that it’s a styling product, not a treatment meant to strengthen or repair your hair. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do—it adds great volume, helps define my natural wavy/curly hair, and even reduces frizz. The only downside for me is the fragrance. It has a strong, pleasant salon-like scent, and I’m not sure that’s the healthiest thing for hair. Overall, it’s an effective mousse that delivers on its promises. Easy application, great volume!

I used this product after my shower in the daytime, scrunching it into my hair and letting it air-dry. I found my hair being able to achieve quite a significant amount of volume! It works great on roots and applied in a very fun way. The mousse slightly expands after its pumped out and it's very satisfying to watch it dispense and apply haha. I didn't feel much of an uncomfortable cast/crunch later after it dried in my hair, it felt quite nice throughout the day and helped support volume in my hair! It worked incredibly well on my thick, dense hair. I applied a generous amount and got amazing volume at the roots. What I loved most is that once it dried, I couldn’t feel the mousse in my hair at all. There’s no stickiness, stiffness, or weighed-down feeling, which makes me so happy. The scent is absolutely gorgeous-it smells like a lovely perfume. I think if you apply a bit more product, you can achieve even bigger volume. I’ll definitely be using it after every hair wash because I’ve finally found a product that does its job without feeling like there’s anything in my hair!
