The color is very rich and black. It is easy to apply and glides smoothly on my eyelids. I can use it as eyeliner or eyeshadow. It stays on for many hours and does not smudge easily, even when the weather is hot. I do not need to touch up during the day. It is also easy to blend before it sets. The only small thing is you need to work a little fast because it dries quickly. Overall, it is a very good product with nice quality and affordable price. I was excited to give this L'oreal Le Shadow Stick in black a try. Simple easy packaging with a cool creamy texture. However I found it hard to blend out unlike my powder eyeshadow products. I spent alot more time trying to blend which seemed to blend a bit patchy even after adding more. Id be interested in trying this formula in a lighter colour and see if that would work any better then the black shade. I recieved this a couple weeks ago and when I tried it I found it worked best as an eyeliner. It's the deepest black, glides really smoothly and doesn't smear. I was surprised this was considered an eyeshadow. I would use it more as a liner. Not sure if it's the way I applied it or the texture of the shadow pen. Anyways, I really liked it! The color stayed and didn't smear or transfer to my upper lid or underlid like some other brands I've tired. It was easy to take off at the end of the night too, which is a bonus! I use soap and water basically to wash my face.

This is an amazing stick! I’m one who usually does natural makeup, I like the look of it being light while still wearing makeup and this eyeshadow can match with that perfectly. I’ve never used an eyeshadow stick before this, what I did was put a very tiny amount on my eyelid or finger (both worked!) and blended until I got a light nude colour slightly darker than my face shade, and I loved it! The formula is very creamy and easy to use, and it is good for a light pop or bold look, I would recommend this product! When I received this product I had to swatch it immediately. The colour pay off was there and it was so creamy… but the wear test proved what the swatch test hinted at…. The “staying” power of the product isn’t the best on its own. It was imperative that I patted it down with black eyeshadow and sealed it with a hard core setting spray. I appreciated how smooth the application was and the size of the stick is a generous amount. On its own I think it lands somewhere in the middle compared to other brands (for staying power) but layered - it was fantastic! I just prefer a gel liner or potted product that dries down and doesn’t budge because I have hooded eyes and products bleed easily for me. I was a little skeptical too, so I decided to do a thorough, proper test. I did my morning skincare routine then applied the shadow stick. I primed one eyelid and left the other unprimed. Application felt cool on my skin, swiped on with no tugging, and blended very easily with my finger. I finished the rest of my eye makeup and headed out in the hot July weather to run errands around town for a few hours. Later at home I noticed some very faint creasing on the unprimed eyelid, but it was so minimal it’s barely worth mentioning, and after 8 hours of wear. At the 12 hour mark I did a final inspection before removing my makeup and was pleasantly surprised how fresh the shadow still looked. I feel like I really lucked out with receiving the shade Celestial Taupe, because I gravitate to cool, neutral tones and this one compliments my cool skin tone really well. The shade is really flattering on me. I removed a couple of stars because the glitter is a bit much for me....it's chunky glitter, so cant wear during the day really. I wish there is a possibility of having a more pinpointed edge because with just a round part it’s hard to get a nice end on your eye.
