[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This does a great job at blurring the skin and therefore minimising the size of pores. They look a lot less obvious. Make up goes on over this really well. I thought it would work well for my oily skin but it's a little too heavy.

Bought as my primer seems to have been discontinued like everything these days. Been using for three months and found out that not only does it not keep my nose matte which is what I was wanting, it dries out the face showing up every pore and foundation does not go smoothly on, leaving foundation marks and when you try to pat them out if the foundation has already set it will start to peel off. Over the day, try not to touch your face as if you do the primer will also rub off and make it look like you have stuff coming off your face.

Bought this primer as the infallible primer was discontinued. Absolutely devastated with the results. It’s horrendous! Never mind minimising my pores - it made every single one more noticeable. It also made trying to apply my foundation really difficult. Please bring back the infallible primer!

I purchased this product because it was recommended to me as a replacement for the now discontinued Miracle Blur Priming Skin Smoother, which I had used for over ten years. When I tried this new product, almost upon application my face was reddened and I felt like it was burning. It's also very more of a liquid that the Miracle Blur and I felt like there was little or no coverage. It may work for other people, but it is quite clearly not a replacement for Miracle Blur. Or for the Studio Secrets Perfecting Base for which there were many, many positive comments about and which has also been discontinued. Not clear which clientele base L'Oreal is targetting here.

I am so surprised by the negative reviews here. I have been using this primer for a week and I have tried many, many primers but this is the best one for me. My skin is dry but my make up never stays on without primer. I’ve used this with different foundations and all have lasted all day. It doesn’t feel dry or cakey le

Tried this one as I couldn't order the infallible one anymore. The worst primer I ever tried, I can't apply my foundation if I am using it, makes my skin look horrible, dry and caky. Bring back the infallible primer please.

Best primer I’ve ever used. My skin gets really oily during the day; this works for me. I don’t even need foundation.

I tried this pore minimizer multiple days in a row with three different moisturizers (making sure it wasn’t that causing a problem). Each day my makeup looked cakey and every single penny nose was highlighted, front and center, with all my foundation going into it. So disappointing.

Due to L'Oreal discontinuing the Infalliable Mattifying base which i liked, i bought this one. I can only conclude that its average. It was ok on parts of my face but other areas of my makeup seem to have been worn off, despite nothing touching those parts of my face. So I conclude it gives blotchy results. Unlikely to buy it again!

My make up doesn’t last and this makes me break out. I really miss infallible matte-lock primer.

I miss the infallible primer, used it for years and made my makeup look smooth and helped it last. This new primer is horrid, makes your makeup look cakey and dry, almost impossible to blend your makeup over it which means it leaves streaks on your face. Also seems to make my makeup come off easier and I find I’m missing patches throughout the day. Going in the bin

This primer oxidizes and pills under/over everything! I've tried several moisturizers, susncreens, and foundations under/over this stuff and it oxidizes and pills every. single. time. It makes my makeup look awful. I'm so bummed.

I found that gor my skin it seemed too heavy and ehen used with foundation that my skin looked too dry and felt very flakey. My daughter has tried it and had no problem so it might have just been my skin

I bought this because the clear primer wasn’t available. It makes it very difficult to apply make up which dries before it can be smoothed out and then hurts my skin as I have to rub it harder to smooth out make up. The clear basic primer is lovely and make up glides on over it so if you want primer don’t buy this. It was wasted money for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do like alternating this primer with another brand. It applies really well into my skin and then I apply a light coverage of foundation. Doesn’t feel cakey at all. Stays on all day and wipes off easily.

Je ne recommande pas aux personnes qui souhaitent un soin contenant des ingrédients sains et bio. La texture est assez agréable et pénètre facilement sans film gras sur la peau. Il permet la bonne tenue du maquillage.

Ce primer a dépassé mes attentes à tous points de vue. Tout d'abord, le processus d'application a été très facile. Le produit a glissé sans effort sur ma peau, créant une toile lisse pour mon maquillage. Le primer n'a pas non plus laissé de résidu gras, ce qui est toujours un avantage. Comme son nom l'indique, ce primer a maintenu mon maquillage en place pendant toute la journée. Non seulement il a maintenu mon fond de teint en place, mais il a également empêché la formation de plis ou la décoloration. Je peux dire en toute confiance que c'est un produit que je recommande sans réserve.

I purchased it yesterday because it looked like a tinted primer. The wear and look of this primer on my face exceeded my expectations. I'm in the olive/tan range and I'm oily. It didn't get greasey and slippy on my face after work and it's hot out now. The color looks natural and matched me. I wore it alone without putting my regular foundation on top of it.

Je suis d'ordinaire peu amateur de bases de teint : 9 fois sur 10, elles produisent l'effet inverse de ce qu'elles sont censées faire 🤬 Soit le fond de teint plâtre, soit il migre, soit il glisse, soit il graisse, soit il n'adhère carrément pas. Invariablement, je finis toujours par appliquer directement mon fond de teint sur ma peau (après que mes soins ont bien séché). Par curiosité, j'ai voulu essayer ces bases (les avis sont tellement dithyrambiques), et au final mon opinion s'avère très positive. AVANTAGES : - texture gel liquide laiteux qui glisse sur la peau et sèche ultra rapidement, - résultat mat instantané, - laisse un toucher légèrement collant après séchage, efficace pour agripper ce qu'on met par dessus, - aucune ligne de démarcation entre une zone avec base et une zone sans base en cas d'application ciblée, - excellente accroche du fond de teint, - ne fait pas migrer/glisser le fond de teint, - ne pèle pas, ne bouloche pas, - contient des ingrédients traitants (en très faibles proportions cela dit), - tube plastique gris pâle, avec une canule qui permet de distribuer précisément le produit sans que celui-ci ne fuit dans le bouchon une fois le tube refermé. INCONVÉNIENTS : - fait plâtrer mon fond de teint liquide, - est extrêmement chargé en éthanol (second ingrédient après l'eau), mon odorat le sent dès la sortie du produit sur mes doigts, et ma peau le sent aussi (effet froid), - formule fortement parfumée, et avec des allergisants connus (même si je reconnais que le parfum est très agréable). RÉSULTATS : Cette base s'étire très facilement, mais il faut travailler rapidement car elle sèche presque instantanément. Cela dit, vu la rapidité du séchage, on peut enchainer directement avec l'application du fond de teint, ce qui constitue un gain de temps indéniable. La matité de la peau est de courte durée sur les zones très grasses (il n'y a pas de miracle), et l'accroche du fond de teint semble améliorée sur les zones qui d'ordinaire ne le tiennent pas (en particulier le nez). Le fond de teint se craquèle sur les zones mobiles (le menton), de manière plus accentuée que quand je ne mets pas de base, et le fond de teint liquide plâtre légèrement. Ceci ne se produit pas en cas d'application de fond de teint poudre, le Matte Setter s'avère idéal comme base pour ce type de fond de teint. Je choisis d'ordinaire des bases sans alcool, et même celles-ci me font irrémédiablement peler le nez. Je suis d'autant plus surpris que ces bases Prime Lab ne me fassent absolument pas peler 😮 J'ai enfin trouvé des bases qui tiennent relativement bien leurs promesses 😍

My mom bought this and I used it. I generally dislike primers I've tried because they feel and look like they slide around even after it's suppose to be dry BUT THIS IS AWESOME! First time I've used a primer that I could see the difference immediately. I'm 40 yrs old and starting to see enlarged pores and texture. But it doesn't move! So worth it!! Thank you. I try my best to take care of my skin but it gets expensive. Like I said earlier, I wasn't a fan of primers at all until I used this. It made the foundation I like the least look great!

I bought this because I usually use L’Oréal infallible primer and thought this was the ‘improved version’. Sadly not. It doesn’t seem to sit well on my combination skin - some of my foundation looks great on top of it and other parts look bobbly and the foundation sits in my pores. Tried the advice from L’Oréal live chat about small dotes etc but still not worked. I guess if my skin was even in its shine/ dryness then it would be better.

This is the first time I have had a reaction to anything I have put on my face. After two days of use face erupted and left red and blotchy. I stopped using and applied to inside elbow just to check it was this causing it. And yes two days in and my skin has reacted badly. Clearly something in this product my skin does not like.
