Too thick, doesn't absorb

This was a disappointment. It's too thick for a day cream or even a night cream. It pills on top of my skin and doesn't absorb.

My favorite but it has disappeared

I have used this product for years and can only find a replacement loaded with salicylic acid, much too strong for many skin types. Has it been replaced or reformulated? If so, this consumer is highly dissatisfied
