Is root touch up permanent?

A root touch up can be permanent, but it also does not have to be. When it comes to root touch up products, there are many different types of lasting power. For example, permanent root touch ups, like the L’Oréal Paris Root Rescue are more common, especially if it will be a while until your next visit to the hair salon. If you want a quick fix, there are root touch up sprays that you can use on-the-go, like the L’Oréal Paris Magic Root Cover Up. When it comes to a root touch up, it is best to be prepared. That is why you should have both permanent and temporary root touch up products on hand. A quick root touch up spray can cover your roots for an easy no fuss solution until your next wash, while a permanent touch up dye will handle your hairs until you visit your hair salon.

How to touch up gray roots?

1. Permanent root touch up product:

Step 1. Section you hair off with a comb and slick the hair back from your face.
Step 2. Apply the L’Oreal Paris Root Rescue color into your hairline, starting from the center and moving towards the sides.
Step 3. Rinse after 10 minutes. If your gray hair is resistant to dye, apply the dye in smaller sections and leave the dye for 15 minutes instead of 10.

2. Root touch up spray

Step 1. First lift your hair to find the gray roots along your hairline.
Step 2. Take the L’Oréal Paris Magic Root Cover Up and spray it at a 7-8 cm distance. Use light and even sprays. Block your skin with your hand while you spray.
Step 3. Use a baby wipe afterwards to wipe away any root touch up left on your skin.
