Freida Pinto starred in the film Miral by Julian Schnabel. The drama tells the story of a young Palestine orphan who grows up during the Israeli-Arab war and becomes unwittingly involved in the conflict. She also stars in Planet of the Apes with James Franco and partners up with Tahar Rahim in Black Gold, to be released in November 2011. Freida has also played opposite Sir Anthony Hopkins in You Will Meet a Tall, Dark Stranger, directed by Woody Allen. Freida will also be on screen in Immortals, with Henry Cavill and Mickey Rourke, a film loosely based on the Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur. The actress also stars in Michael Winterbottom's Trishna, a modern adaptation of Tess of the d'Urbervilles, shot in her native India.
